Flower opens up and BREXIT is truth!

The flower in my last blog has opened up. Nice!

And as I'm a descended from UK I had to put this up on my  house as a tribute to the UK. I wonder if the people in UK have made the right choice. Future will tell!!

Well, 50 MHz is, at the moment, more or less dead here at my QTH. I sit and lsn to the noise and no stations is Heard at the moment.
Weather man/woman has put out some possibility for TS in this region. Hope they are wrong!!

Low Activity and soon Midsummer!

Tomorrow it is midsummer celebration here in Sweden. During this coming weekend about 90 % of the population is drunk!! Have been low activity on my blog. Worked a few new ones on 50 MHz. But most of the time the activity is South of me.
Belgum beat us out of the UEFA Europe Soccer Championship. And Marcus Ericsson in Sauber F1 Team is not doing so well. So there is not much to be happy about.
But the flowers in my garden is doing just fine. What about this big red one? It is a peony. Very nice indeed!

We have passed the summer solstice. So from now on the Days will be shorter and we are going in to the dark times!!!??? Well, not so bad as the low band will be opening again and my stack of firewood is full so I can keep me warm during this dark time.
Sounds depressing, isn't it!!. Well, it is not! This is the cyckle of Life here at 60 Deg North.

Take care and CUL

YES! I've got some QSL's!!

I've got two QSL's today. First out is EP2A, Iran. I only needed 160 and 80 m to fill my score for Challenge Award. And this was an easy task. So 160 and 80 is confirmed and all is fine.

And here are proof of a nice QSL. Thanks to all operators for some fun time at the radio.

Next out is a very rare DX. Heard Island and here I had just one QSO before and that was with VK0CW DXpedition from 1983. So here I was in need of many QSO's and SSB and RTTY as well. And this turned out to be a relative easy task (!!!). I worked them 11 times and got it all!!! From 160 to 10 m except 20 m all on CW. SSB was on 20 m and RTTY was 15 m. So I don't need Heard any more (sad to say). And I guess this is due to the very skilled operators in the team.

Nice QSL. Wonder what the Penguin's are thinking?! In which direction is the food?? Or, how do we get home???

There have been quite a few memorial DXpeditions this spring. What about K5P Palmyra, VP8 from South Sandwich and South Georgia, FT4JA Juan de Nova (no QSL yet) and EP2A and VK0EK just to mention a few. So there have been some nice times spent at the radio.

Well, that's all for now. CUL
