Off Line for a while.

I have been down to the city of Varberg. Located in the southwest of our country. Reason for my travel was to celebrate my daughter's sons birthday. He has become 1 year old. And that is a good reason for a party!

The big problem was how to blow out the Candle!!!

Back home again the Power line is done and up and running. Voltage is 230 and do not fluctuate when loaded as before. Even using my Linear lights do not blink. Nice work.

I have not a clue what's have been happening on the radio. But I have noticed that the sun has had a major CME. Or several CME's. So hopefully I don't have missed any thing.

When I came home there was about 10 cm ( 4" ) of the White Fluff they call snow. Totally useless. But today the weather man predict a temperature of +5 ( 41 F ) so it will go away!!!

Well, back to the radio! CUL

Reunion Isl and a QSL

TO7CC is on the air. I have managed to Catch them on 2 missing band slots so far. Not so rare but the QRM:ers have not spotted this fine DX so far. So it was easy to get a QSO.

Banner borrowed from QRZ.com. Good operators. Work them if you hear them.

I also received a QSL from Easter Island. It was XR0YY. Worked them on a few missing slots including Phone.

Nice card.

I've got my LoTW updated including my Award Credit slip. Thanks to Deborah in ARRL staff.

Power line seams to work fine. Have not noticed any strange behaviour so far. Time will show!

CUL all of you readers out there. Remember Life is to short for QRP!

QSL eeceived and been /P!

I have been /P for some Days. Well, not really. But I have had a big 100 KVA Diesel Generator supplying Power to my house. Reason for this is the work on my 10 KV line. And today they connected the 3 X 95 Square mm Cable to the transformer and all works just fine. They also managed to get the phases in right order so my water pump rotates in the right direction. Well done!

I also received a nice QSL today. And I mean NICE. It was from S21ZBB and S21ZBC. I catched them on all modes and 5 band slots.

Click on it to see front and back sides of the 4 pages QSL.

WX here is warm. Temperature is 5 C ( 41 F ). And this is warm in February. It is overcast and some rain in the air.

That's all for now. CUL

A new band slot!

Today I received QSL from Carlos, OA1F. Worked him on 28 MHz CW. And this adds a new band slot for me. And my Challenge Award is up one Point!!

Nice card showing some canoe's made of reed. Wonder how long they will stay afloat?

FT5ZM is an ongoing story with a lot of hams working them in multi bands (SSB,CW RTTY on every slot). I still don't understand this need for getting the most of "green dots" in club-log. But it is up to them. I used 10 QSO's to get it all. No need for more. A good thing is that the activity on 160 m is up and a lot of SM hams have worked them on top band. Congratulations to all of you!

Today I also received the December Issue of the Magazine CQ. They have a problem with delivery to what they refer to as "over seas" delivery. Thrilling to see when I will receive January and February Issues of the Magazine.

That's all for now! CUL

DONE!

Yesterday morning I managed to get FT5ZM on 15 m RTTY: So now the mission is complete. All 9 bands and all modes with 10 QSO's. Unfortunately I had to make one dual band slot as I had all 9 bands before but RTTY was not included. The pile was rather big for the RTTY Contact. I had to call for almost 45 minutes.
According to the statistics there are only 546 hams that have all 9 bands and I'm one of them!!

My antenna is a TET Emtron TE-56 and the Power it can stand using RTTY is very limited. I reduced my rig so the output was about 500 W. But I have a green spot on RTTY 15 m in the Club-Log.

Show you a Picture of the rig I used for my last QSO.

TS-590 and a  ACOM 1000 and a Mikroham Digikeyer II was the set up for RTTY. Click on the Picture to see it a bit larger.

Well, the weather is mild at the moment. I have +2 C right now and no wind. And most of the White fluff is gone. But we are just in the beginning of February so we will get more of the White fluff fore sure.

That's all for now. CUL!

FT5ZM on all slots!

Below you can see all my QSO's with FT5ZM. As you can see I have all band slots needed to get maximum Points for my Challenge Award. Also I have Mix, Phone and CW for DXCC and all this without any dual band slots worked as a lot of hams has put into system all the time. There is no need to work them on both SSB, CW and RY on every band slot. This is fine for moi!
The greatest thrill was the QSO on 160. I almost fell out of my chair when I Heard my call coming back. WOW this was the highlight of this DXpedition!!!
Now I will try for a RTTY QSO. But here I have to be careful with Power to my antenna. Have to stay below 500 W. Hopefully this will be OK.

So, this is bragg time in my blog.
