New IOTA and a super nice QSL!

14 Mar 2010 I worked K4T located on the Island Dry Tortugas NA-079. But I forgot to order QSL. Found that out and sent a request for a card. And today it arrived!

Nice card and an interesting Place down the Florida Key's.

Then I received one of the best looking cards via the buro (??!!). It was KL7KY worked on 80 in December 2012. Just look at this fantastic Picture of the Northern Lights. Amazing. But I have it here during the dark side of the year as I'm on 60 deg North. We had a few very nice shows this Winter.

Just click and enjoy!!!!

CUL and remember, Life is to short for QRP!!!!

New (for me) IOTA received.

I've got a new one today. It was V31MV, NA-180. Nice card!

Hope you agree! QSL was from IT9EJW, Alfio. He is Printing fine quality QSL indeed.

Have worked T77C and A92IO on 6 m. All new for me. I'm up to 50 confirmed on 6 now. Hope there will be some openings to East and West and not just EU.

Weather in this part of Sweden is not so good. Rain showers hanging all around and temperature is at the moment 19 C. But we shall not complain. Soon the withe fluff will be back and temp well below zero C!!??

Take care. CUL

New Band slots

Received a QSL from ZD7FT, St. Helena Island. By this 17 m and 12 m is confirmed for ZD7.
Thanks Peter for a nice card.

I'm only missing ZD7 on 160 and 6 m. I'm only missing 3 QSL to get the 1500 sticker for Challenge Award.
Have had some problem with the new version of TQSL used for uploading to LoTW. With the version 1.14.1 I've got "data base error". But I got a newer version from DX4WIN reflector. It was 1.14.2. and this version work just fine. According to ARRL this version is not released yet. But I managed to get it from the Internet!!

Otherwise the rain showers is hanging around my QTH and temperature is about 20 C.

That's all for now. CUL

Chasing IOTA

Well I've managed to Catch some new (for moi) IOTA now and then. Last Catch was EU-152 using the call EG3INT/7.

Borrowed this Picture from their home page. According to the last IOTA Directory it is on 12 most wanted in EU. Only 33,7% of the IOTA community has claimed this Island. So it is pretty rare. Work them if you hear them!

Lots of TS (thunder storms) around me at the moment. But according to the weather radar they will pass North and South of me. But you never knew if a cell pops up and create some noise even at my QTH. When lsn to the radio the spark from the lighting is almost S9+40 db. So I'm prepared to remove all antennas from the shack if needed.

So back to chasing IOTA.

Worked a rare IOTA today!

This morning I worked NA-064. Attu Island in Near Island Group on 14 MHz SSB. Call was KL7NWR. Amazing pile and a lot of hams shouting when they are supposed not to! Any way QSL on order and here is a preview from QRZ.com.

Nice isn't it!!

Well a lot of rain and some TS have passed during this weekend. But now it seams to stabilised some. Hopefully we will get the summer back.

Not so much bike riding so far. But I hope I will get some time over later on.

Well, that's all for now. CUL
